Data-driven Telco Network Operations – Network Genius

Trask is collaborating with leading telecom operators to develop an advanced system for automating 5G core network management. Network Genius leverages cloud technologies and a data-driven approach to real-time network monitoring and control, powered by data streaming (Kafka), graph databases, and large language models (LLMs).

The solution analyzes data generated by regular activity across individual network components (such as during call setup), reconstructs the current network topology, including configurations, and prioritizes thousands of incoming alarms. In the Network Operation Center (NOC), the AI Copilot recommends specific actions for dispatchers – from surfacing relevant documentation to suggesting exact steps for resolution.  Network Genius also supports automated interventions and failure prediction, significantly reducing downtime and improving service quality for end customers. Confidently, we can say the network intelligence of the future is being built at Trask.

Network Automation

Trask is focusing on the automation of testing, configuration, provisioning processes, monitoring, and automation scripting. Our experience within this domain mainly includes repeated tasks in network operations or widely used manual operations to minimize errors, to release qualified resources for other tasks with higher added value.

Session Border Controller (SBC)

A Session Border Controller (SBC) is a network element used in VoIP and unified communications to manage and secure signaling and media traffic. It protects and controls IP communications flows by enforcing policies, ensuring interoperability, and preventing security threats such as denial-of-service attacks or fraud.

Spam and Scam Calls Protection

Security is an important topic nowadays. That is why we also focus on advanced protection from caller ID spoofing on public telephony networks. Spoofing is used by robocallers to mask their identity and/or to make it appear the call is from a legitimate source, typically from a local number.

Robocalls are automated calls delivering pre-recorded artificial voice messages. They are executed by auto-dialing SW, which can reach thousands of people every day​.

Client-side is implemented in the Oracle Communications Session Border Controller (OCSBC).

Server-side is implemented either as a service in Oracle Communications Converged Application Server (OCCAS) or as any 3rd party SHAKEN platform​.

Microsoft Direct Routing

Microsoft Direct Routing lets customers connect a customer-provided Session Border Controllers (OCSBC) to Microsoft Phone System. Users can configure on-premises Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) connectivity with the Microsoft Teams client. With Direct Routing, customers can connect their SBC to almost any telephony trunk or interconnect with third-party PSTN equipment.

Direct Routing enables customers to use virtually any PSTN trunk with Microsoft Phone System​ and Configure interoperability between customer-owned telephony equipment, such as a third-party private branch exchange (PBX), analog devices, and Microsoft Phone System.

Oracle Communications Operations Monitor can pull and visualize KPIs and statistics directly from the MS infrastructure.
