The Bouračka web application, developed by Trask, connects to state registries and automatically retrieves and verifies the necessary data. It is intended for accidents involving two parties without injury, with an estimated damage of up to CZK 200,000, for which the intervention of the Police of the Czech Republic is not necessary. It can thus cover up to 170,000 minor accidents per year.

Bouračka Web App: Results in Numbers

  1. 6 months from analysis to deployment, including public testing
  2. 35,000+ unique users in the first days after launch
  3. 4 months after launch: 20% of all traffic accidents reported digitally (more than 100 accidents per day on weekdays)
  4. Report processing in 18 minutes—a fully digital process available from anywhere
  5. Up to 170,000 accidents per year can be processed electronically—faster and with a lower error rate

Real Benefits: Drivers and Insurers Both Profit

For Drivers

  • No need to carry and fill out a paper form in the car
  • The entire process can be managed directly at the scene of the accident in a few steps
  • Automatic data retrieval, GPS, and photo documentation minimize errors
  • Information is sent to the accident participants via email

For Insurers

  • Photographs of damaged vehicles and the accident scene—a benefit over the original paper form
  • Standardized digital data accelerate the processing of insurance claims
  • Fewer errors and incorrectly filled-out forms from clients
  • Direct access to relevant data from registries
  • Higher security and transparency of the entire process
With the Bouračka application, we have transformed the outdated manual process of reporting minor traffic accidents into a fast digital solution that saves time, reduces errors, and makes the processing of insurance claims more efficient. It is a well-thought-out innovation with the potential to digitize up to 170,000 accidents annually.

A Modern Alternative to Paper Forms: Bouračka Digitalizes Accident Reporting

Bouračka.cz fundamentally modernizes the way minor traffic accidents are reported in the Czech Republic—transforming a paper process into a digital, intuitive, and secure solution available in a browser. The project was designed with an emphasis on user experience and reliability. Public testing was conducted in the initial phase, which helped to verify the concept, communication methods, and application logic, ensuring that the completion process is understandable even in stressful situations.

Bouračka complements the existing paper form, which remains fully valid. It thus offers drivers a modern digital alternative—faster, more secure, and available directly in an internet browser.

Four Advantages of the Bouračka Web App in Practice

  1. Web-Based and Intuitive: The application works directly in the browser, with no installation necessary. It guides drivers through an intuitive interface that allows them to handle the entire reporting process quickly, securely, and without stress—directly at the scene of the accident.
  2. Smart Integrations: Bouračka is connected to the Central Register of Drivers, the Register of Road Vehicles, and the insurance policy database, where data on vehicles, driving licenses, and their insurance are stored. Thanks to this, it automatically retrieves and pre-fills necessary data, which minimizes errors and saves time for participants and insurers.
  3. Convenience Right on the Spot: The application uses OCR for recognizing documents and license plates, GPS for determining location, and map data for accurately plotting the accident scene. Trask's ZenID technology, also used in the banking sector, ensures secure identity verification and automatic data retrieval from ID cards.
  4. Security and Reliability: From the outset, emphasis was placed on maximum protection of personal data and system scalability. All communication is encrypted. After the record is submitted, the data is transferred to the System for Evidence of Traffic Accidents, where it is available to insurance companies. The solution is designed to function reliably even under extraordinary loads, such as during natural disasters or when the number of reports increases.
